
Andy Rubin of Google has thrown a pretty impressive fact-sheet that defines the growth of Android. There are now 850,000 new Android devices that are getting activated daily, and the number is constantly changing for good. Last time, at Google on Q4 2011 presented the numbers as 7,00000 activation’s daily, which itself was quite a staggering feat.
Also, the current Android’s app market has more than 450,000 apps, the number tripled from last years figure of 150,000 apps which was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC), 2011.
With a year-on-year growth rate of more than 250%, 850,000 new Android devices are activated each day, jetting the total number of Android devices around the world past 300 million. These numbers are a testament to the break-neck speed of innovation that defines the Android ecosystem – Google Blog
