A Russian Hacker ports iOS6 3D maps to iPhone 4

Apple showcased the new 3D maps in iOS6 at WWDC 2012 and said that the best features of maps will only be available for A5-enabled iDevices, and thus iPhone 4 and the iPad owners will be devoid of a few things. That was the line that Apple said for not giving the 3D map for earlier iDevices. However, things don’t seem true.

A hacker from Russia has successfully ported the iOS6 3D maps to iPhone 4 which just goes to show that the app could have been made compatible by Apple, but they didn’t wish to support the earlier customers. There is a catch and that is the app has a few issues with running, but the developer ensures that he is fixing the stuff and secondly, it’s in Russian. The hack doesn’t need installation of any libraries from Cydia or just in plain English, you don’t need Cydia installed on your iDevice for it to work.
