Acer Pantech Element and Pantech Burst gets Android 4 (ICS) update

Acer has released the Android 4 (ICS) update for users of Pantech Element and Pantech Burst. These two devices are sold via AT&T with good prices, and with now they are getting the ICS update, they are definitely a very good deal.

The update hasn’t been made available as an OTA (over-the-air) release meaning that you have to manually download the ROM and flash it to your device.

Below is the official change-log of the released update;

New User Features

  1. Enhanced Home screen canvas switcher edits functionality(In the preview of home screen panels, users can change a main home screen panel).
  2. Enhanced Multitasking and Notification functionality.
  3. Enhanced User Interface : Virtual buttons in System bar, contextual options in Action Bar.
  4. Improved text input and spellchecking (Android keyboard)
  5. Control over Network data and Powerful web browsing
  6. New! Self mode and Panorama capture mode in camera.
  7. New! Time-lapse recording function in video camera.

UI Improvements

  1. Improved user interface design with GL library.
  2. Support for Native Sync of AT&T Address Book.
  3. Improved lock screen.
  4. Improved Quick Settings and Detail Settings.
  5. Additional Improvement UI interfaces.

Though the delay was more than what our readers would have liked, it is definitely said to be worth seeing the above change-log.
