Android 2.2 Froyo to add Add Tethering and Wifi Hotspot

While Android 2.2 “Froyo” gaining Flash capabilities and being all-around faster may have been enough for some people, it obviously wasn’t enough for Google. TechCrunch has confirmed that devices running Froyo will gain USB tethering and the ability to be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Froyo will almost certainly be showed off and then released to users at next week’s Google I/O developer event, so these features are not far off from Android users.
