Google will be holding an event on October 29, which will almost happen around close to Apple’s iPad event along with Microsoft’s one related to Windows Phone 8. Google will detail the upcoming Android 4.2, and a recently leaked system dump has allowed to get a peek of the upcoming next release.
Below are few of the highlights of the Android 4.2 operating system;
- Redesigned gallery, looks mimic Google+ designs (see the above image).
- Multiple user-account support (useful in case of tablets where different family user can have their own personal stuff), Google play access can be restricted to fewer accounts, restricting purchases.
- Access to quick settings (GPS, WI-Fi, and Bluetooth) from notification bar by double-swipe
