Apple: 10 million iPad mini units from Foxconn ordered for one quarter

According to WSJ, Apple has started the iPad mini tablet production at Foxconn industries in Brazil. The scale of the asked units is 10 million iPad mini’s which Apple expects to sell them in a quarter. The figure was fetched from the component suppliers at Asia.

Apple as of now, hasn’t even commented on the existence of any upcoming mini form of iPad tablet. It stayed away from making any comment, as that has always been the tradition of the company. But, the existence of iPad mini is almost unofficially confirmed with screen size being 7.85 inches. It is supposed to be a retina display which shouldn’t be much of a surprise to anyone.

The iPad mini will be a direct competitor to Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7. Amazon ordered 5 million Kindle Fire devices  from suppliers which it expects to sell in the 1st quarter, and if this report from WSJ has to be believed which has a very good track record of reporting things, Apple order is almost double of Amazon. However, Apple sells products at many more countries unlike Amazon.

We will update you as more news on the next big buzz from the world of Apple (the iPad mini), keeps coming.
