Asus Transformer Prime gets Jelly Bean update

Asus has been really good at providing the Android updates for its line of tablets, they are faster than most of the other tablet manufacturers and due to that particular approach, they have built a good name for itself.

Asus has released the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for users of Asus Transformer Prime. The update is a big file that requires you to first download it to your PC, and then can be installed to your tablet.

The update brings all the goodies of Jelly bean update, and the most prominent of the highlight is the smoothness that the new operating system brings to the tablet, along with other bug fixes. This is thanks to Google’s smooth butter project that is aimed at removing unnecessary codes from Android, and also, optimize the kernel and other places in Android.

Before getting into the update process, below are the few precautions that we would ask you to take.

  1. Look to make a backup of your application settings and whatever if you can. There are dedicated apps available in the Google play to help you to do the complete backups. This small step can help you from a lot of headache if something goes wrong.
  2. Also, make sure that you have enough battery charge (50% recommended) on your device to sustain the process of updating the device.
