AT&T expands its LTE coverage to twelve more areas in US

LTE is the next evolution that is set to bring faster downloads to your device and in race to implement LTE in US, Verizon has had a head-start. AT&T is finally looking to catch up with Verizon and it has expanding the LTE offering to 12 regions ins US. These include;

  1. Cleveland, OH
  2. Akron, OH
  3. Canton, OH
  4. Naples, FL
  5. Bloomington, IN
  6. Lafayette, IN
  7. Muncie, IN
  8. Baton Rouge, LA
  9. New Orleans, LA
  10. St. Louis, MO
  11. Bryan-College Station, TX
  12. Staten Island, NYC

“AT&T customers in Cleveland can look forward to even faster mobile Internet speeds very soon, on our leading lineup of smartphones and devices,” said Larry Evans, vice president and general manager, AT&T Ohio and western Pennsylvania.”

“In addition to Cleveland, AT&T 4G LTE is also coming to Akron and Canton, Ohio; Naples, Fla.; Bloomington, Lafayette andMuncie, Ind.; Baton Rouge and New Orleans, La.; St. Louis, Mo; Bryan-College Station, Texas; and Staten Island in New York City. These launches are scheduled for April, May and into the early summer.

“AT&T didn’t offered any date or time-period for the completion of the roll-out of LTE, but analysts expect it to be completed by April or May. Not all the devices are LTE Enabled as of now, only few such as the new iPad (2012), Galaxy Note and few other Android tablets are capable of utilizing the networks.”
