Developers at Samsung are working hard on Bada OS to bring new features and version 2.0 will be integrating social networking, location services, providing content and mobile payment.
The new features for Bada 2.0 were based on mobile app trends. Service-oriented features will play a big part of Bada’s appeal – those include location, social, content cloud storage, commerce and push notifications.
Bada OS 2.0 will feature unified API that third-party apps can use to access the users social networking accounts.
Push notifocations is also a big part of Bada 2.0. Bada’s servers will look for notifications from news, SNS and gaming services and send instant push notifications to the device. Bada OS 2.0 also seems more polished with new skins from its earlier avatars.
With Bada OS 2.0 third-party app developers have been given more freedom, they can now create apps using HTML5 and JavaScript, Flash Lite 4 is also supported and can be used to create custom interactive lock screens, apps can also be associated with certain file types.
