There are lots of applications available in Cydia, some of them are very useful while some of them only add a little extra functionality making your device slow over time. It all depends on your necessities and personal preference. Here, we are listing a few of must have apps and tweaks.
AppCake - Search and download cracked apps and games from the internet. Earlier, Installous was available for the purpose, but it has now been closed.
AppSync - It allows syncing of cracked applications via iTunes. You can download appsnyc for iOS from this repo - http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com.
BatteryDoctorPro – This a really cool app. You can place toggles in the notification center, clean up junk files and free space over-time, get more battery life and more. Use it and you will understand what’s so cool about the app. The name of the app is in Chinese, so you may find little tough in finding the app. I downloaded it from BiggBoss (Tweaks) repository.
iFile - File manager for iOS which allows you to install apps, Cydia files, move files, open many extensions, rename folders and more.
ByteSMS - Stock replacement app of messaging, comes with lots of features but the display of advertisement after one week of usage is little nuisance.
iBlacklist - Block messages and calls from unwanted numbers.
Firewall IP - Allow or block access of apps from using the Internet.
Unrestrictor - iTunes store places a download size limit of apps and games when you are using cellular data. This tweak makes your iPhone believe that it is using WI-Fi connection, allowing you to bypass the restriction.
Dreamboard - Allows you to customize your device via themes and other tweaks. Choose themes wisely as most of them are iOS version dependent. If any one of the theme happen to make your device run slow, then uninstall it via Cydia.
Applocker - Allows you to password protect any app, or folder.
SBSettings - Allows you to control many settings of your device, either itself or with the help of other add-ons available for download.
Landscape Lock Rotation – This tweak allows you to lock your screen in horizontal position. Just install the tweak, and you can lock the horizontal view in any app by going to tap the ‘lock’ button.
Barrel – Brings some really cool 3d browsing effects on homescreen pages.
AdBlocker – Blocks google ads at Safari browser and other installed apps.
AnyLockApp – Allows you to assign any app in place of the camera shortcut from the lock screen.
TetherMe – If you have WI-Fi / USB tether issues with your iPhone, just install this app and it will remove the methods which iPhone users to check carrier restrictions over the usage.
Safari Download Manager – Download anything via Safari Browser in your iPhone + Better management.
Iconoclasm – Allows you to customize icon layouts of your homescreen. By default, the device allows you to set 4 x 4 sets of icons, with the help of this software you can customize further say 5 x 5 or x 5 x 3 set of icons.
Infinidock - Allows you to place more icons in your dock.
Infinifolders – Allows you to put more apps in your folders. It overrides the default value of 12 set by Apple.
Multifl0w – Allows you to view running apps in a cool visual appeal. It adds the wow factor to your device but I find it unnecessary as it adds more code to your device. However, it all depends on you.
Gridlock – As the name suggests, you can place icons anywhere in grid of screen.
I have checked most of the apps with the latest iOS version, however sometimes they interfere with unwanted issues. In that scenario, just remove the app by going to Cydia. There is nothing much to worry about issues. If there is any issue, Cydia loads your iPhone in Safe mode, and then you can remove the app responsible for the issue.
To download these Cydia apps and tweaks, add this list of Cydia sources, and search the name by going to ‘Search’. You will normally a more than one listing, download the one featuring a higher version number.

Installous app is closed now. The new ApppCake app also serves the purpose but it isn’t as good like Installous.
I would say most ppl are installing the Installous app, bigU Movies app & Pkgbackup app from Cydia atm.
instead Landscape Lock Rotation, try Rotation Inhibitor for SBSettings… ;)
