Bing got downloaded over 1 million times from Apple’s Appstore

In mid-December 2009, Microsoft released Bing to the world and it received great appreciation however there were no figures to showcase its success over iphone os. Now, Florian Voss from Bing’s team has released the stats for number of times, Bing application or iPhone or iPod got downloaded from Apple’s appstore which scales upto over 1 million downloads as of now.

“In the months following the November release of the app, we received great feedback from people with suggestions for improvements, many of which have been added to this release. For instance, we’ve made a number of stability fixes and usability tweaks, especially in image search, and design updates have made options and dialog boxes easier to use,” Voss stated.

At the same time, the Bing app for iPhone and iPod Touch comes with enhanced sharing capabilities, allowing users to easily send results to friends via email. Not only this, but users are now able to bookmark a variety of content, including maps, directions, web sites, businesses, search terms, weather reports.

Bing application for iPhone and iPod is free of charge, as expected and can be downloaded for appstore.
