Apple’s WWDC Conference 1st day – The Complete Story

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, commonly abbreviated WWDC is taking place at Moscone West, San Francisco. The conference is planned for 5 days starting today, from June 7 to June 11, 2010. This has become a big launching pad for Apple to showcase its upcoming products as the whole world gets concentrated here for few days, especially now Apple being such a major electronic player. Apple is enjoying a great success with iPhone, so, they highlighted the number of applications or apps available for iPhone and thus the logo was “the centre of the app universe”. 2nd day round up – Google’s I/O 2010

Chrome web app store and Google M video format were yesterday’s two biggest announcement from Google I/O 2010.

Froyo as expected – the next Android update  tagged version v2.2 was officially announced to the world. Google introduced a new compiler, which brings a 2-5x speed boost to the system. There are also 20 new enterprise features, including better Exchange integration and device administration APIs, a new backup application that will allow you to exchange data between devices. Android 2.2 also features a new cloud-to-device messaging API, over the air update and iTunes streaming of music to Android device . Google also introduced a new browser which they tagged it as “the world’s fastest mobile browser”. The browser is based on V8 engine – the same Java script engine which powers Google Chrome on desktop, more about it later when we get it to run. The voice command feature too got updated by adding voice triggers. It is basically the ability to distinguish different commands from a sentence and execute them.

Google TV was the next big announcement of the day. It will be an open platform as expected and will be heavily sourced for viewing video content with search integrated. When someone asked Google in comparison with Apple TV, they called it totally different refereeing it to as being completely open. Internet Explorer Hacked in 2 minutes on Windows 7

Peter Vreugdenhil of the Netherlands and a German researcher who only would give his first name of Nils, found ways to disable DEP (data execution prevention) and ASLR (address space layout randomisation), two of Windows 7′s most shouted anti-exploit features. The competition was held on 64 bit windows 7 which was fully updated to include the latest patch.

China warns, Google says “who the hell are you”

Earlier this week, China’s top internet official has warned that Google will “pay the consequences” if it continues to go against Chinese law.  There were statements which were issued by Chinese officials, continuously against Google which that China was not looking to bow down. Also it seemed Chinese government was deliberately publishing reports through state media which were showcasing losses in terms of money that Google have to face if they shut down operations in China.
