Apple – Making Enemies With Every Success!

I am a fan of products created by Apple. I love the way they go for perfection in small things, but often leave big things out of the story. They join late in providing basic software features but also provide excellent experience for users. The first version of iPhone was all about users touch experience rather than hardware wow factor and later, they beefed up hardware configuration for performance in newer versions of iPhone. Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, commonly abbreviated WWDC is taking place at Moscone West, San Francisco. The conference is planned for 5 days starting today, from June 7 to June 11, 2010. This has become a big launching pad for Apple to showcase its upcoming products as the whole world gets concentrated here for few days, especially now Apple being such a major electronic player. Apple is enjoying a great success with iPhone, so, they highlighted the number of applications or apps available for iPhone and thus the logo was “the centre of the app universe”. Now You can Play Flash on Apple’s iPad

Adobe recently announced the success of iPad as it managed to sell 2 million units within 60 days despite it’s few short-comings. Asking Apple to provide us with the flash feature on our iDevice is like fighting a lost battle. However, thanks to Chris Smoak, there is a way to play flash videos on iPad.

The workaround developed by Chris is called SmokeScreen. It runs entirely in the browser, reads in SWF binaries, unzips them (in native JS), extracts images and embedded audio and turns them in to base64 encoded data:uris, then stitches the vector graphics back together as animated SVG. It’s written in Java framework and thus work as JavaScript in your browser.

Now iPod Touch With Camera Gets Leaked in Vietnam

Steve Jobs must be screwing his head seeing the leaks taking place in a far distant land called “Vietnam”. Today it’s the turn of a new iPod Touch, the major headline is that it features a 2 MP camera. It’s worth noting that the leaked prototype bears an uncanny resembelance to iPods that cropped up on ebay last month. This particular Vietnamese model is a 64 GB effort in white with a unibody metallic (maybe aluminium?) case, dock and 3.5mm jack on the bottom of the handset, volume controls on the left and the power button at the top. Of course this might not be the final design.

Apple plays tribute to Newton

Newton was Apple’s first tablet, a PDA with handwriting recognition which still has plenty of hardcore fans but went down in history as one of Cupertino’s biggest flops. The new iPad video ad below recalls the TV advertising for the Newton, remaking the “What is Newton?” campaign for the modern age as “What is iPad?”

In both the iPad ad and the Apple Newton spot, a gruff voiced man runs down the features of the product while ordinary folk fondle the tech. And just as Apple now calls the iPad “magical”, the What Is Newton? ad declared it to be “magic”.

Image that defines Apple’s Pathetic Policies

Apple is surely becoming one of the worst companies, if not the worst by creating pathetic stringent environment for both users and software developers. I don’t want to go in much detail but this image surely define ridiculous Apple policies. Have a loot at yourself.

iPad developers are coding software in virtual environment or in a dark room

Apple has never been friendly for developers or consumers, it is just that their products stand out for brilliance and being a company which has its start up user base at U.S always helps. Apple on Friday told developers could begin submitting their iPad applications starting next week, so that their applications could find their way to the opening store. Now, just imagine designing applications for a product without even seeing it to know, how your app will stand out! Apple’s e-mail, provided to Wired.com by a developer who wished to remain anonymous, told developers to submit their apps by March 27, 5 p.m. if they wished to release their apps with the iPad on April 3.
