HTC has released a list that highlights the expected launch of Android 4 (ICS) update on the basis of month/ device. The released note features 17 handsets and expect for Droid Incredible 2 whose launch of ICS timing is yet to be decided, other devices do feature the tentative period. Below is the list released by HTC.

Netflix for Android has been updated to version 1.8.0 with enhanced media playback with improved stability. Below is the official change-log of the released update;

1. Enhanced playback experience on phones and tablets

3. General bug fixes

Netflix also seemed to have pushed a new way of installing the update, apart from the downloading the app the Google Play. The released note says,

Once the application is downloaded please tap on it and follow the instructions to install this application. In some cases you may have to allow applications from untrusted sources to be installed.:

Netflix for Android is available for Android 2.2 and above and is restricted to USA, Canada, Latin America, UK and Ireland.

Asus has released a minor software update for users of ASUS Transformer Pad TF300. The released update is numbered as version 9.4.3.29 and it currently brings an updated WiFi handling and camera app to the tablet. We are sharing a tutorial posted at XDA for installation of CyanogenMod 9 on Samsung Galaxy S Plus. This isn’t created by us and we are just sharing it. This version of CyanogenMod is still buggy and few things such as Camera, USB tethering and FM Radio isn’t working properly. However, if you like to experiment, learn and see things before the rest, then proceed with the installation.

Download CM9 and gapps-ics zips and put in /sdcard

Before you install CM9: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)

1. Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
2. Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
3. Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
4. Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.

WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.

Install

1. Use CWM5.
   For flashing with Odin: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5
   For using dd command to flash: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.zip
   • Warning: Only use this recovery to flash CM9. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone!
2. Wipe data and cache.
3. Flash update*.zip.
4. Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM9 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
5. Reboot phone.
6. After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
7. Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
   • If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
   • It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.

Facebook for Android updated with new messaging features : DKgADGET

Requirements;

1. Download Flash tool from here (go to installation tab).
2. Download Android 4.0.3 – Build 4.1.A.0.562 from here. 

Proceedure;

1. Install Flashtool. The default installation location is (C:\Flashtool)

2. Also install the drivers package found under ‘C:\Flashtool\drivers’ if you don’t have already (select pro-ray adb drivers, flashmode drivers and fastboot drivers).

3. Unzip the file downloaded at 2nd requirement and place it under ‘C:\Flashtool\firmwares’.

4. Open Flashtool, click Flash sign and select ‘Flashmode’. (See the screenshot above)

5. Select ST18i and click OK (See the screenshot above).

6. Follow on-screen instruction (unplug it from USB, power off, press volume- and not the back button, plug the usb cable) and you will have Android 4 (ICS) on phone.

Unlock bootloader and Root of Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray 

1. Download the zip file from here. (Source)
2. Connect Phone to USB (Make sure you have checked ‘Install unknown resources + USB debugging + Screen awake + activate Mass storage mode).
3. execute “RUNME.bat” inside the folder you extracted at no 1.
4. Follow the instruction that is being displayed. The phone will restart few times asking you to press any key on ‘PC’.
5. The phone will be rebooted and it’s bootloader unlocked and rooted.

Install Busybox and CWM Recovery on Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) 

1. Install BusyBox Free from STEricsson from here (Gogole Play link). Open it on your device and let it be install few files.
2. Download the SE Tweak Installer from here.
3. Connect your Phone to USB
4. Run the SE Tweak Installer, select the device type to the Ray one (Make sure you have checked ‘Install unknown resources + USB debugging + Screen awake + activate Mass storage mode)
5. Press Install and follow the process.
6. Check Auto Reboot if you want to test right away (while reboot, press volume+ key multiple times.

If you have followed the tutorial carefully, you will have Sony Ericsson ray with Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich)  + unlocked bootloader and root + Busybox and CWM recovery installed.
