Nokia, now a days only makes news for wrong reasons is looking to get up , which could save the career of its CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo. The cellphone maker is poised to unveil its new flagship model E7, which comes with a large touchscreen and full keyboard, at the show in London, two sources with direct knowledge of Nokia’s plans told Reuters. Nokia will also introduce to the public its new N8 model, which is the first phone to use the new Symbian 3 software, along with other new smartphones, the sources said.
“As the N8 starts shipping and other devices are unveiled, Nokia will be hoping that it can lay the foundation stones for its recovery given the onslaught of competitive products currently hitting the market,” said Ben Wood, director of research at CCS Insight. ”It has made some big commitments on fixing Symbian and its first flagship product using the refreshed Symbian operating system. Failure is not an option,” Wood said.
Samsung i8910 HD, one of its product from the portfolio of Symbian is often left out due to boom that is happening in other operating systems such as Android, which makes Samsung put more resources on Android rather than Symbian. The Symbian S60-powered smartphone recently got two additional fix-ups from its users – HyperX’s HX-V8-32and faenil’s n2o4.
As you can presume, you can’t install both of these – you’ll have to pick which one will run on your respective i8910 HD. Either way, by installing any of the two – you’ll be significantly upgrading the existing firmware. I ain’t gonna suggest which one is better (cause both rock) and will leave you to pick the personal favorite.
