The first thing when you hear or read the word Cydia brings thoughts of jailbreak, custom tweaks, themes, customization and few other things. Here is a thing that few will feel little wired and few might be annoyed.
One app developer has created an app called ‘Cydia’ and submitted to Apple for approval. Well, what can you expect from Apple? They definitely don’t like Cydia and to make a mockery of Cydia (the original), they approved the app and the app called ‘Cydia’ is now available from the app store for $0.99.
The available Cydia app from the app store is just a snake game. The author to his credit played by the name card, and he has already gathered around him quite a press. Remember! Everything that gets little publicity in the world of iOS apps earns big and fast. Few are complaining about the misleading way in which the app names itself and then, a few just buy it for something else.
As of now, most of the reviews related to the app are negative which goes on to show the liking of the users, and the road-ahead for the developer. Apple might be having a good laugh at this. They can’t be blamed as they have just approved an app which named itself after a thing that they hate the most. To the annoyance of real Cydia, the app even tries to copy their icon.
