
Amazon has released a new app that lets to watch video content on your iPad via streaming. Streaming exclusively for users in the United States, the new app called Amazon Instant Video will require you to subscribe to Amazon Prime.
Customers are required to pay $79 for a period of 1 year to avail the service. As of now, Amazon Instant video offers you an availability of 120,000 videos to watch, or download for later viewing in offline mode.
If you are already a registered user of the Amazon Prime service, just download the app, login and you are ready to go. If you have rented a video from the service, you can see the video in the Watchlist, from where you can proceed to play the video.
As of now, the app doesn’t support airplay streaming to Apple TV, which can be a little of a letdown. The app is made available as a free download, and requires you an iPad running iOS 4.3 and above.
A few days ago, Hulu made Hulu Plus available for users of the Apple TV. The number of streaming apps available for iOS platform is slowly increasing and more options bring more good for users.
