Google doesn’t allow you to download apps directly from Android market (now Google Play) to PC, and sometimes it can be frustrating for a user. It does look cool when you click ‘Install’ on your Android Market and it gets automatically downloaded to your phone.
The fact that you always need a working Internet connection on your phone which might add up your billing charges is something that isn’t popular among everyone.
Now, here is a solution which allows you to download apps directly from Android Market. This stuff requires the use of Google Chrome Internet browser and is aided by an extension called APK Downloader. However, this isn’t simple like installing just an extension, you have to go though few setup process.
This extension requires you to disable SSL error warnings, find and input Android Device ID along with Google account details during setup. Once you enter all these and grant access to your Google account then downloading .apk apps is easy. Download the file and transfer it to your device.
The .apk file can then be installed with the help of a file manger, also do check ‘Unknown Sources’ found in Settings > Application settings. The tutorial on installing the extension can be found here.
