Is iPhone craze now over?

According to analysts, Foxconn has already started the manufacturing of the next iPhone that will be released this year.  The successor to iPhone 5 will be called as iPhone 5S, and how worthy of the next big thing will it be? It will only be known after the official unveiling.

The key areas that Apple is looking to revamp in the iPhone is the camera, processor speed and the memory management handling by apps. If we go by the name of iPhone 5S as the one destined, we can hardly look for a product that is going to challenge Android. It’s understood that the release containing the word ‘S’ means speed and looks to refine the existing features. This means that the product won’t bring something that truly amazes the customer base.

The android phones were looking to catch Apple’s iPhone for all these past years. But things have really changed now and this can be seen by the success of the Samsung Galaxy SIII, Note II with pen input that shows it’s not what Apple thinks is always usable, and this year the Sony Xperia Z and HTC One are truly great phones.

I personally think that apps on Android OS lag a little feature wise, in comparison to those available for the iPhone and the iPad, but Android is refining the ways their apps get created by developers. Only the apps look good, the operating system, i mean iOS looks pale. There are no widgets, no homescreens, no live wallpapers, unlocking mechanism hasn’t changed, and I can point a few more. Apple might argue the battery usage issue, but Android has survived and surged ahead.

The iPhone doesn’t look the class that it used to be. To be frank and ask few industry experts, it’s time for Apple to catch with Android. So, where does it leave us with this news of iPhone 5S being made by Foxconn? It means that Apple isn’t going to introduce major changes to the phone, and the craze for iPhone might be over. Tell us your thoughts.
