Galaxy Nexus 7 from Google is now available for pre-order in the UK via The Dixons Group which includes Dixons, PC World and Curry. July 19th has been mentioned as the date on which the device will hit the shelves, the date falls in the line of expectancy.
The US launch is having hard times due to a court slapping a ban after Apple appealed for violation of some patents (nowadays, what else?). This isn’t true for the UK release. The Galaxy Nexus 7 will be priced around £199 for the 16 GB version. We don’t have many clues about the 8 GB version, also we wouldn’t recommend a 8 GB version model.
The Galaxy Nexus 7 won’t compete with the likes of iPad, it has a different target audience that Kindle captures. We will inform you as more update pours in.
