Google launched the Nexus 7 tablet in association with Asus, and priced it aggressively around $200. The main purpose was to enter a territory where there is no iPad around to compete, and has a unique audience. The tablet for its nice specifications and performance has been received well by the users.
After having the success, Google is now making plans to a 10 inch (probably 10.1 inches) tablet that will be made by Samsung. Unlike the Nexus 7 tablet which has no Asus name, the 10 inch Nexus tablet will have some sort of Samsung name on it. Google already co-brands the Nexus handset by Samsung, so there is nothing unusual here.
According to Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch quoted the upcoming Nexus 10 tablet to have a resolution display of 2,560 by 1,600-pixels which is higher than that of the 9.7 inch iPad with 2,048 by 1,536 pixels.
Unlike the Nexus 7 which was a cheap device, the Nexus 10 will be a high-end device with nice specifications to boost off. We will keep a close on this topic in the days to come.
