Google maps for android update with Improved battery performance, ransit Navigation (Beta) and lots more

Google has just updated Google Maps for Android OS with new and exiting features. These include

1. Improved battery performance for Latitude and Location History users, and fresher locations for friends in Latitude
2. Transit Navigation (Beta) can use vehicle speed to estimate location if GPS signal is lost
3. Increase route options for public transit directions from 3 to 4.
4. Report feedback to Google from the settings menu

Apart from the above listed new features, Google maps for Android provides free voice-guided GPS navigation system, along with listing places, Find, rate, and get recommendations for places and also see see friends on the map and check in at places.

It is easily one of the best navigational software with Google data feeding its input, you can be assured of finding most of the things.
