Google+ Now available for iOS (Updated within few hours of release)

Google+ for iOS has finally been approved by Apple, after making Google wait for more than two weeks. Apple is famous for reading every bit of code that goes into making an app. They generally take more time than required for approving an app. The growing competition and war of words between Apple and Google didn’t helped the cause either. You can say that it was just Apple looking to show it’s superiority over Google, in this case.

What matters at last, is the fact that the app has been made available for download. Earlier reports suggested that the app was released for US only, but later users from UK reported it’s availability there. Now, we can confirm that the app has been released universally.

Within an hour of getting approval, Google was quick to update it’s Google+ app for iOS. The version now stands at 1.0.1.1809. Below is the changelog of the new update :

  1. Better support for blocking unwanted messages in Huddle
  2. Better support for attaching photos to a post
  3. Various bug fixes and performance improvements
