Google has added a new possibility for the development of Android apps, the ability to provide monthly subscriptions to users and charge them. Say, a user can now subscribe to a monthly published magazine within the app.
The subscription style can be monthly, quarterly or any that the app developer chooses to. Users will also be provided with the ability to cancel the subscription anytime. The unwanted subscriptions can be canceled via the new “Subscriptions” tab under “My Apps.”
The first Android app to ship with in-app subscriptions is Glu Mobile’s Frontline Commando. The iOS users already know about this feature as it has been in existence for around a year.
