Google has updated its Google Wallet app for users of Android to v1.5-R75-v6. The new update looks to support all credit brands giving more options to users, and also allowing the service to capture new users.
Below is the official change-log of the released update;
- Wallet, meet cloud.
- The new Google Wallet app supports any credit or debit card — Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. These cards are available for in-store purchases using a phone with the Google Wallet app, or for online purchases at participating merchants.
- If you lose your phone, you can disable your mobile wallet from the ‘Devices’ section of wallet.google.com/manage
Google Wallet 1.5-R75-v6 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3.3 and above. We don’t know when the Google Wallet stuff will be popular but it’s moving in the right direction.
