Install android apps (apk files) from your SD card

Android apps are also known as apk files for their ending extension. It’s easy to install apps from Android market but there are also android apps that are hosted elsewhere. You need to transfer them to your memory card. If you are looking for ways to install apps from memory card, below is the way.

1. On your phone, tick “Unknown Sources”. The path to getting there on your phone is Settings > Applications > Unknown Sources. This will now allow you to install apps which aren’t downloaded from the Google play store.

2. Now, install “Easy Installer” from Google play store (requires Internet connection on your Smartphone).

3. Now open ‘Easy Installer’ on your phone. It will scan for available *.apk files on your SD card. It will show you the files that can be installed, tap them, and install them. That’s it.

Alternatively, you can also install a file manager like X-Plore file manager to install the files. You just browse to the location on your SD card where you have kept the files, tap them, and install them.
