According to Google’s Android blog. India is now registering the fourth largest number of downloads from Android Play store in the world. The country has seen a growth of more than 400 percent for the last year, and is still going strong.

With such a scenario, it is natural for Google to facilitate creation of more local content by developers. To attract developers in India, Google has included seller support which will allow developers to sell apps, subscriptions, and in-app products. The payments will be shipped to local bank accounts in the country.

Google has also added buyer’s currency support for developers in India which allows selling the app in any currency, however when withdrawing the amount to the account, it gets converted into INR.
