LG announces Optimus L9 with 4.7 inch display, dual core processor and more

Yesterday, LG announced the LG Optimus G with some high-end specifications, and today we get another announcement from the Korean manufacturer in the form of LG Optimus L9. The device will be the next big thing in the L series line-up.

LG Optimus L9 has dimensions of 131.9 x 68.2 x 9.1 mm with a weight of 125 grams. The display is 4.7 inch IPD LCD Capticive type with 16 million color display, built in memory is 1 GB of RAM + 4 GB. We aren’t sure of the availability of the MicroSD card on the device, and will let you know in the future.

Optimus L9 runs on a dual core 1 GHz processor, has 5 MP Autofocus camera with single-led flash, secondary front VGA camera, Accelerometer Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Multi-touch, a gyro sensor, HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, WI-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth with a2dp profile and will be powered by a 2150 mAh battery.

The device will run on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) from the start. There is a planned Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) upgrade in upcoming months. As of today, we don’t have details about the pricing and launch date of the device. We will update you as more information comes in the future.
