It’s no secret that LG is going through a rough patch due to lack of timely action that was required to innovate new Android products. The company to its credit did push the first dual core processor phone, also a Smartphone that can take 3d images and some mid-priced good android phones.
What we find that it failed to gather support for its phones in the consumer base. The company lacked the vision to support developers, neither it provided good after sales support in terms of providing Android updates.
LG is currently the fourth biggest Smartphone manufacturer in the world behind Samsung, Apple and Nokia but is seems to have stuck in that position. In a move to focus on priority, LG will be exiting the Tablet segment and concentrate only on phones.
It’s not that they are having success in the arena of tablets. They weren’t going any forward with their products and with Android lacking behind iOS big time, there wasn’t any sense in continuing forward for LG.
