Facebook has registered more than 1 billion users, and it’s still going strong without facing serious competition from the likes of Google+. The growth of Facebook is often credited to luck and strong determination of Mark Zuckerberg who had the vision, and never saw the company getting sucked to failure.
But, what if Facebook failed? What would Mark Zuckerberg had done? Founded something else, or get a job at some tech company, but which one?
At a talk for entrepreneurs and computer hackers at Stanford University, Mark Zuckerberg said that he would have landed himself a job at Microsoft, had Facebook failed. He always admired the company, and had some aspiration for it.
“I probably would have taken an engineering job (and) always had a lot of respect for Microsoft,” he told Paul Graham, co-founder of the tech venture capital Y Combinator.
I don’t know if his statement is true or false? He can’t take name of Google who is a big competitor to Facebook with Google+, and Microsoft owns some shares of Facebook which makes it friendlier name to be taken, when asked with such a question.
