Meet Google – The Company That Went All Out To Fool You Desperately

Google is the most celebrated company over internet looking to get involve with people in every possible way by changing its logo or any other way, they can thing off. It was time for April Fools 2010! and Google went all the way to fool you. Below is the list of few things which made people go crazy or fool themselves and thus Google succeeded in their task.

Google Wave
- Google reported on its blog that they will send a person to your home to inform you about wave, whenever a new one arrives. Well, it  must have been very hard for everyone to believe but they did prepare a video to really make people believe in their words.

YouTube - It  was offering ability to see videos in text format, sounds crazy but this was the tagline offered by Google and users were falling in to the prey.

Gmail - Login page of gmail was showcasing text as “Gml s blt n th d tht ml cn b mr nttv, ffcnt, nd sfl. nd myb vn fn. ftr ll, Gml hs:”  Is seemed that their vowel processing was hacked and now it’s you mail turn.
Google Books - offered an option to see text and images in 3D.

GoogleDocs – took cloud computing to next where they “the ability to upload, store and organize any type of file in Google Docs. With this change, you’ll be able to upload and access your files from any computer — all you need is an Internet connection’

Google UK - They offered an application for android which was capable of translating voices from animals into text. They offered the post as “Translate for Animals is an application for Android phones that recognises and transcribes words and phrases that are common to a species, like cats for example. To develop Translate for Animals, we worked closely with many of the world’s top language synthesis teams, and with leaders in the field of animal cognitive linguistics, including senior fellows at the Bodleian Library in Oxford.”

Google Japan - They released an application featuring 9 panel drumset which would allow them to write more playfully.

Google VoiceGoogle went on to  introduce Standard Voicemail Mode (TM) for it’s voice application which was inexistent.

Google India had nothing to showcase or they were letting us off the hook for some good unknown reasons.

The things that Google pretended to have discovered could be some of the most desirable features in future, except for few ones. I don’t want to go much in detail, just want to end it here by saying “Happy fools day”.

The most interesting one was “Introducing Google Translate for Animals”.. haha.. loved that thing..

  • Ravi..

One thing is for sure that Google can't be allowing physical objects to get stored in cloud via google docs. It is simply isn't possible and it is just like laughing a own-self. Other tries were nice though
