Microsoft is now looking to expand in every possible way. A new game called Ribbon Hero is scheduled to be released which utilizes many features of Office and can be played on the social notworking site called Facebook. The game was designed by Redmond’s Office Labs as a training tool or say as a learning tool. Jennifer Michelstein, a program manager at Microsoft’s Office Labs told the Beeb that there were shedloads of functions in Office which many users could not find and this game would help them learn fast. Gaming seemed to be a good method because people learn almost effortlessly when play is enjoyable, she said.
Apart from this, it also gives them to popularize some of their products like “bing” by showcasing flags or banners in the playing area or any other way. Ribbon Hero works with versions of Office 2007 and above and will run on Windows 7, Vista and XP. It will be launched later this year.
