Microsoft to kill ‘Windows Live’ name before launch of Windows 8

Before the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft will discontinue the Windows live package in current form and will make them integrate with windows 8 in a more cohesive way, tailored for mobile and cloud computing.

Microsoft offers a bunch of live services such as Hotmail, SkyDrive, Messenger, Movie maker, Photo gallery and few others. Some of them are popular while few are unknown to users. The aim is to re-brand the available existing packages and offer them in an uncomplicated behavior to user.

The following information comes courtesy of a blog written by Microsoft’s Windows head Steven Sinofsky. The developers at Redmond are already at work drafting and implementing the changes. More information will be revealed in upcoming days by the development team.
