
It looks like GSM Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S aren’t the only devices getting the Android 4.1.2 update, Motorola too has released the Android 4.1.2 update for users of Motorola Xoom tablet. The release of the update has been confirmed for the WiFi variant of Motorola Xoom.
Android 4.1.2 update is a stability and performance enhancement update over the previous version of 4.1.1.
The update has been released as an OTA (over-the-air) release, meaning that you will automatically get an update notification of the availability of an update when connected to a network. You can manually check by going to Settings > About Tablet > Check for updates.
If you can’t wait for the update to become available or using a third-party ROM, you can install this release from Google.
Before getting into the update process Android 4.1.2 update for XOOM WiFi, below are the few precautions that we would ask you to take.
- Look to make a backup of your data, application settings and whatever you can. There are dedicated apps available in the Google play to help you to do the complete backups. This small step can help you from a lot of headache if something goes wrong.
