Nokia has released a new software update or say, firmware update Version 1.2 (V10.2010.19-1) for Maemo. This update is right now available for Europe and users across the globe will receive it tomorrow. Below are the list of improvements embedded in this firmware release.
1. New Games are rolled out, but they will only be available after June 27 due to a changeover scheduled for Ovi Store.
2. Email has been improved with the ability to accept or decline an event invitation right there in your inbox, and Facebook IM chat has also been bundled in. The release also brings with it video calling, allowing users face-to-face chatting anywhere.
3. Portrait browsing has been added to the web-browser.
4. Ovi Maps updated.
5. New menu user interface with ability to customize 1st level interface.
Nokia further added , “Nokia will continue to support the core Maemo software on your Nokia N900, as evidenced by the PR 1.2 (V10.2010.19-1) update available today”
