Nokia has released a new Qt Software development kit that is intended to simplify the process of developing cross-platform mobile application . A beta release, which was made available, includes the Qt Creator integrated development environment (IDE), comprehensive Qt reference documentation, and mobile simulators that make it possible to see how a Qt application will look and feel on MeeGo or Symbian.
The bundled Qt Creator is a prerelease of version 2.0, which has some really nifty new features such as a visual editor for Qt’s new declarative user interface language (QML). The new version of the IDE allows application developers to select which mobile platforms they want to target and makes it easy to launch an application in the mobile device simulator.
The beta is available fordownload from Nokia’s Web site.
