While announcing the Q2, 2012 results of Nokia which was a dismal show of figures, Stelphen Elop revealed the month in which the first batch of Windows Phone 8 products is going to arrive from Nokia.
The month has been mentioned as Oct, 2012 which falls in line with the period which Microsoft said to launch during the unveiling of Windows Phone 8 OS. Stephen hasn’t mentioned that they will be the first to launch the Windows Phone 8 based phones, however seeing the bet which is thrown by Nokia on Microsoft, Nokia will make sure that their offering reaches first to customers.
Till now, Nokia is buzzing with the upside stuff which Windows Phone 8 might bring from them. Stephen described Windows Phone 8 as the catalyst which Nokia needs to come out of its toughest times.
His optimism remains the same which was seen during the launch of Windows Phone 7 which didn’t turn too well, but Windows Phone 8 is completely different for good and falls in a different class. So, Nokia may indeed pick up but other manufacturers such as Samsung will also offer the offerings.
