Absinthe 2.0 was released as the untethered jailbreak solution for us5.1.1 and is compatible with A4 device like the iPhone 3GS and iPad as well as an A5 and A5X-powered devices that runs the new iPad and iPhone 4. The only device which is incompatible is the new iPad 2 which runs on 32-nanometer chipset.
The jailbreak app was released on last Friday and till Sunday evening, 973,086 devices were already jailbroken. The Chronic-dev team which is behind the release on Twitter posted as,
“Some stats since the release of ?
#Absinthe? - 211,401 jailbroken iPad3′s and 973,086 devices newly jailbroken!”
