Samsung Galaxy Beam is now officially available in India across retail stores for an attached price of INR 33,900. The device has built-in projector which is rare and that makes the phone stand-out from the rest, however the price is little on the higher side.
Samsung GALAXY Beam has a 4 inch display that can render a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, runs on Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, has 5 MP rear camera, 8 GB storage, 768 MB RAM with MicroSD slot that will allow you expand storage by further 32 GB, HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbp, WI-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, WI-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v3.0, and runs on Android OS, v2.3.6 (Gingerbread) with TouchWiz UI v4.0.
We don’t see Samsung releasing Android 4 (ICS) for the device and that might be a big let down for users who are looking more features from their phone.
The device runs on a generous 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated for up to 760 hours of standby time or up to 20 hours of talk time in 2G mode and 10 hours in 3G mode.
