Have you ever wanted to send messages from PC or Tablet (with no cellular function)? There are many who wish this functionality, and if you have an Android phone, it’s possible. But firstly let us explain how it works.
You will install the MightyText app on the phone which monitors your messages. It will sync your messages across its other MightyText installations which may be on your tablet or PC. Now, when a message appears on the phone, it’s also seen on the tablet as messages are syncing. Plus, when you reply to a message from a tablet or PC, it gets pushed to the phone via data connection, and then your phone sends that message.
Below are the installation links.
- Firstly, install MightyText on Phone (Google Play Link), and then on the Tablet (Google Play Link). Both the versions are different.
- If you also need to access from PC, Install the desktop client (available for Google Chrome browser), or access the app webpage which can be accessed via any desktop browser.
Complete the minimal of sign-up process and verification, and you are ready to go. The MightyText android app on tablet also allows you to see the incoming caller, and battery level from your phone.
I tested the app and loved it. The registration process is simple, the hassle free way of texting texts from a larger desktop keyboard is unmatched. The message that I was sending from Nexus 7 was also appearing in the Inbox sent folder on the phone. The syncing was hassle free.
As of writing the post, the native phone client is only available for users of Android, however the site has listed the upcoming availability for iPad. You can visit this Install page of theirs to check the availability for iPad.
