The upcoming Sony Xperia SL is all set to be announced at IFA press release, however someone from the company posted the product page online revealing all the details of the upcoming Android phone. The Smartphone possesses phone specifications similar to that of Sony Xperia S, except for a beefed-up processor which is now clocked at dual-core 1.7 GHz instead of 1.5 GHz processor.
The other specifications remain same. Sony Xperia SL has a weight of 144 grams with dimensions of 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm. The display is 4.3 inches (~342 ppi pixel density) that can render a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The camera module is 12 MP at rear, and 1.3 at front. The rear camera can record video at 1080p (full hd), whereas the front the record at 720p.
The internal memory is 32 GB with no option to expand storage further as there is no MicroSD slot. The RAM is 1 GB. Further, the device has Accelerometer Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Multi-touch (up to 10 fingers), Stereo FM radio with RDS, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.8 Mbps, WI-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, WI-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth 2.1 with a2dp profile.
The phone will run on Android 4.0.4 (ICS) from the launch, and the jelly bean update will follow soon in the next quarter after the launch. The official announced should be made in the upcoming IFA show in coming days.
