Using your phone as Wifi hotspot seems to be the next talking feature, but very few knew of ability to turn your Symbian s60 phone into wifi hotspot. This feature is not new and there are many softwares available to make it possible.
Symbian s60 phones are very capable of functioning as Wifi hotspot, you just need a software called JoikuSpot. It allows your laptop or other device such as iPod to use internet over WiFi (WLAN) using your mobile phone’s 3G internet. Using it is not a big deal, you just need to have a working 2G or 3G net connection.
There are two versions of JoikuSpot available for users to download.
1. JoikuSpot Light (Freeware)
2. JoikuSpot Premium (Paid Version)
The difference between light and premium version is that premium version supports more protocols for advanced users, while light version is enough to fulfill general user requirements.
It is currently available for Symbian S60 devices, Symbian^3 devices (Nokia N8) and also Nokia N900
