FierceWireless reported earlier today that Verizon CFO Fran Shammo was speaking at the J.P. Morgan Technology, Media and Telecom conference and said the unlimited data plan will be scrapped in coming summer time.
As of now, Verizon Wireless provides unlimited data usage on 3G connection/ month, however after completely switching to 4G cellular networks, users will be forced to switch on available 4G plans which won’t host any unlimited plan. According to Verizon, 4G is set to introduce faster downloads and providing unlimited plan might bring-down the network.
Users on the Verizon Wireless Facebook page reacted sharply and posted angrily stuff with many vowing to leave the nation’s biggest cellular operator.
